Medicaid Colorado Springs

In Colorado Springs, as in the rest of the United States, efforts are underway to ensure those who qualify for public health insurance, like Colorado Springs Medicaid or Colorado Springs CHP, can get signed up and registered. 

Since Medicaid enrollment is year round, it is important for Colorado Springs residents to stay informed about the vital health benefits this program provides.  Thanks to Medicaid expansion, many more people now qualify for Medicaid.

As a result of the Colorado Health Care Affordability Act, the state of Colorado and the city of Colorado Springs expanded Medicaid coverage to include Medicaid buy in programs for people with disabilities and adults without dependent children. These programs are all accessible through the same online application process. You need only fill out one request and a Colorado health care official will review your information, and inform you of ALL plans that you qualify for. 

If you think a public health insurance plan, like Colorado Springs Medicaid or Colorado Springs CHP, may be right for you or your family; there are several ways to apply for coverage. You can fill out and submit an application on line by visiting Colorado Peak, an online service for Coloradans to screen and apply for medical, food, and cash assistance programs, or by visiting Connect for Health Colorado, Colorado’s Health Insurance Marketplace.  

You may also apply in person by visiting your local county office. If you need assistance understanding or filling out an application, you can visit a local application assistance site.  You can also apply by phone, although this process typically takes longer than the other three options.

We collaborate with clergy, educators, employers, other health and human service agencies, the legal/criminal justice system, other behavioral health providers, insurers, and many other organizations to leverage our collective resources in order to better our communities and the lives of its residents.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit funded largely by Medicaid, state and federal grants, local government contracts, and generous donations.
